Optimizing Your Browser Experience
Browser choice and configuration significantly impact your experience with our platform. This guide helps you choose the right browser, optimize its settings, and troubleshoot common browser-related issues for the best possible performance.
Recommended Browser Settings
Regardless of which supported browser you use, certain settings optimize the experience. Ensure JavaScript is enabled—it's on by default but sometimes disabled by security software or policies. Enable first-party cookies from our domain for login sessions and preferences. Allow pop-ups from our site for features that open new windows. Keep your browser updated to the latest version for security and compatibility. Clear cache periodically if you experience stale data or display issues.
Some users prefer private or incognito browsing for privacy. Our platform works in private browsing modes, but you'll need to log in each session since browsers don't save cookies in private mode. Some features like offline mode might not work in private browsing depending on browser restrictions.
Browser Extensions and Compatibility
Browser extensions add functionality but can sometimes interfere with web applications. Extensions known to occasionally cause issues include aggressive ad blockers, JavaScript or CSS blockers, privacy extensions that block trackers, certain VPN extensions, or tools that modify page content. This doesn't mean you shouldn't use these extensions—just be aware they might need configuration.
If you experience unexpected behavior, temporarily disable extensions to see if the problem resolves. Enable extensions one at a time to identify which causes issues. Most extension problems can be solved by whitelisting our domain in the extension's settings rather than completely disabling the extension.
✓ Performance Optimization
For best performance, close unnecessary browser tabs. Each tab consumes memory and CPU resources. If you routinely have dozens of tabs open, consider browser extensions that suspend inactive tabs to free up resources. Also ensure your browser's hardware acceleration is enabled (found in advanced settings) to leverage your computer's GPU for smoother graphics rendering.
Mobile Browser Considerations
Mobile browsers provide access to our platform even without our mobile app. On iOS, Safari is the default browser and works well with our platform. Chrome for iOS is also supported. Android users can use Chrome (recommended), Firefox, Samsung Internet, or other browsers. Mobile browsers have some limitations compared to apps—no offline mode, potentially slower performance, less convenient access, and fewer native integrations. However, they're perfect for occasional access from devices where you don't want to install apps.
Use responsive mode for mobile browsers—don't request the desktop site. Our platform detects mobile browsers and serves optimized layouts. The desktop site on mobile devices creates a cramped, difficult experience. If you accidentally switched to desktop view, reload the page or tap the mobile view option in your browser menu.
Clearing Cache and Cookies
Sometimes clearing cache and cookies resolves issues. The process varies by browser. In Chrome, click the three dots menu > More Tools > Clear Browsing Data. Select "Cached images and files" and "Cookies and other site data," then choose a time range (typically "All time" for thorough cleaning) and click "Clear data." In Firefox, click the menu > Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data. In Safari, go to Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data > Remove All.
After clearing cache and cookies, you'll need to log back into our platform and any other sites where you were logged in. Clearing data forces fresh downloads of all resources and can resolve display issues, outdated content, or corrupted cache problems.
Zoom and Display Settings
Browser zoom affects how the platform displays. We recommend 100% zoom (default) for the intended experience. If text is too small, instead of zooming, try adjusting your display resolution in system settings or using our platform's built-in font size controls if available. Heavy zoom (150%+ or 50%-) can cause layout issues with some interface elements not fitting properly on screen.
High-DPI displays (Retina, 4K) should automatically display crisp text and graphics. If text looks blurry on high-resolution screens, check your browser's hardware acceleration settings and ensure your graphics drivers are current.
