Real-Time Collaboration
Collaboration is at the heart of modern work, and our platform provides a comprehensive suite of tools designed to make working together seamless and efficient. Whether you're collaborating with teammates in the same office or coordinating with partners across time zones, the collaboration features keep everyone aligned and productive.
Real-time collaboration means that multiple people can work on the same content simultaneously without conflicts or version control issues. When someone else is viewing or editing something you're working on, you'll see their presence indicator along with their cursor position if they're actively making changes. This awareness helps prevent duplication of effort and enables spontaneous collaboration when you notice a colleague working on related content.
💡 Collaboration Best Practice
Before making major changes to shared content, use the comment feature to propose your changes and get feedback. This prevents situations where simultaneous editing leads to confusion or requires reconciling different approaches.
Comments and Discussions
Every piece of content supports threaded comments, allowing you to have focused discussions directly in context. Rather than switching to email or chat to discuss specific aspects of a project or document, you can attach comments right where they're relevant. This keeps the conversation connected to the content and creates a permanent record of decisions and reasoning.
When you add a comment, you can mention specific team members using the @ symbol followed by their name. Mentioned users receive notifications and can jump directly to your comment from their notification center. Comments support rich formatting, including code blocks, lists, and inline images, making it easy to provide detailed feedback or ask specific questions.
Threaded replies keep conversations organized even when multiple discussions are happening simultaneously. You can mark conversations as resolved when they're addressed, hiding them from the default view while preserving the discussion history. If you need to revisit resolved discussions later, simply toggle the "Show resolved" option to see the complete conversation history.
Sharing and Permissions
Sharing content with others is straightforward but powerful, with granular permissions that let you control exactly what each person can do with shared items. When you share something, you can choose whether recipients should have view-only access, commenting privileges, or full editing rights. You can also set expiration dates on shares, automatically revoking access after a specified time period.
The sharing dialog shows you who currently has access to an item, making it easy to review and modify permissions. You can share with individual users, with entire teams or departments, or generate a shareable link that anyone with the URL can access. For sensitive content, you can require password protection on shared links or restrict access to users within your organization.
✓ Collaboration Workspace
Create dedicated workspaces for major projects or ongoing initiatives. Workspaces act as containers for related content and automatically grant appropriate access to all workspace members, eliminating the need to repeatedly share individual items.
Activity Feeds and Updates
Stay informed about changes to shared content through activity feeds that show you exactly what's changed, who made the change, and when it happened. The activity feed is context-aware, showing relevant updates based on what you're viewing. When you're looking at a specific project, you see updates related to that project. When you're on your main dashboard, you see updates from all your projects and collaborations.
You can customize your activity feed preferences to control the types of updates you see. Some users prefer to see every change, while others only want to be notified of major updates or direct mentions. The system also intelligently batches related updates—for example, if someone makes five quick edits to the same document, you'll see a single "made multiple updates" notification rather than five separate alerts.
Video and Voice Collaboration
For richer collaboration, integrated video and voice calling allow you to jump into a live conversation without leaving the platform. When you're reviewing content together, you can start a call with a single click, and all participants automatically see the content being discussed. Screen sharing lets you walk through complex topics or demonstrate processes, while recording capabilities mean team members who couldn't attend can catch up later.
During calls, you can take shared notes that all participants can see and edit in real-time. These notes are automatically attached to the call record and indexed for future searching, making it easy to find decisions and action items from past discussions. The system can even generate automatic transcripts of recorded calls, making them searchable and accessible.
âš Notification Management
In highly collaborative environments, notification volume can become overwhelming. Use focus mode to temporarily mute non-urgent notifications, and consider setting up custom notification rules that distinguish between mentions, assignments, and general activity.
Version History and Rollback
All changes to collaborative content are automatically saved in version history, giving you complete visibility into how content has evolved over time. The version history view shows you exactly what changed in each version, who made the changes, and when they occurred. You can compare any two versions side-by-side to see differences highlighted, making it easy to understand what's changed.
If changes need to be undone, you can restore any previous version with a single click. This creates a new version based on the historical content, preserving the change history while effectively rolling back to an earlier state. This safety net encourages experimentation and bold changes, knowing that anything can be undone if needed.
